VIDEO: Brandin Cooks Gets Rocked by Brutal Helmet-to-Helmet Hit From Bengals' Jessie Bates III
By Sean Facey

The 2019 NFL season has seen more than its fair share of brutal helmet-to-helmet hits, but this one definitely ranks near the top. Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Brandin Cooks got absolutely rocked on a hit to the head by Cincinnati Bengals defender Jessie Bates III, far from the first time such a fate has befallen the diminutive wideout.

Can't judge concussions just by video, but @BrandinCooks reaction is often enough to have him ruled out under the current protocol. Surprised if he returns. pic.twitter.com/o40MPOPTql
For a player who has taken some gruesome hits to the head in the past, this certainly doesn't bode well for him. The past two years in particular have been absolutely brutal on him from a physical standpoint.
Nice opening drive by the Rams until the end, but Brandin Cooks is being evaluated for a potential concussion for at least the 4th time in less than 2 years.

The man practically turned into a rag doll after the hit, collapsing to the ground and completely losing the football. Hopefully, it's nothing too serious, but it's easy to feed yourself a different narrative after watching Cooks fall victim to brutality yet again.
Just a few minutes later, Cooks was ruled out with a concussion.

If this is how his career is going to continue, it may be time to consider alternate paths.
