VIDEO: Brandon Drury Clobbers a Grand Slam as Blue Jays Pile it on Rangers in Absolute Blowout
By Karl Rasmussen
The Toronto Blue Jays aren't in the mix for a playoff spot, but that doesn't mean they're going to roll over and let you take them down. The Jays have fight, and they showed that to the Rangers in commanding fashion on Monday. After already holding a 9-1 lead, Brandon Drury emptied the bases with a grand slam, bringing their run tally up to 13.
Sorry Rangers fans, but the pitching staff just couldn't get it done today. That was the third long ball of the evening for the Jays, and it came with two outs in the inning.
Adrian Sampson will be hanging his head after losing this battle to Drury and adding a handful of earned runs to his line.
