VIDEO: Braves Absolutely Bury Nationals With 3-Run Bomb From Josh Donaldson
By Scott Rogust
The Washington Nationals have arguably been the hottest team in Major League Baseball since May. On Tuesday, they were brought back down to earth, courtesy of the NL East-rival Atlanta Braves. Already holding a 5-0 lead in the top of the fourth inning, Braves third baseman Josh Donaldson added to the scoreboard with a massive three-run homer to right field off Nationals pitcher Erick Fedde.
"The Bringer of Rain" officially rained on the Washington Nationals' parade, extending the lead before they tacked on another to make it 9-0. You can pretty much put this one in the books.
