VIDEO: Braves Ace Mike Soroka Discusses Feeling 'Awesome' in Monday Live BP Session After Injury Scare
By Adam Weinrib

In case you're one of those pessimistic types who thinks every Spring Training injury will lead to the unraveling of a promising season, Mike Soroka has some words for you. The Braves' presumptive ace saw his spring debut pushed back this week due to a "groin tweak" that took place during a batting practice session, but after some more work on Monday morning, Soroka wanted to confirm with the masses that everything was just fine.

"I felt awesome. Felt like myself. So we're all go," Soroka told gathered reporters on Monday.
Soroka also described the injury in full, for those who might have been curious.
"My last live BP, I tried to kill my back side on a changeup, just kind of dragged my back side a little long," Soroka explained. "Felt a little tightness in my adductor, so they said we may as well back it up a day or two."
Soroka also confirmed that his next step, following Monday morning's live BP session, involves game action, which should come this week.

Better to be safe than sorry early in the spring, but the calm Canadian is coming along just fine.
