VIDEO: Braves' Billy Hamilton Breaks Through With RBI Single in 14th Inning Against the Mets
By Sam Dunn
The deadlock is finally broken in Flushing! After entering the 14th inning tied at one run apiece, the Atlanta Braves have finally jumped back into the lead. This time, it's newcomer Billy Hamilton who's done the deed, squeezing out a single with the Mets infield in to score Tyler Flowers.
Both teams scored a run in the sixth inning, and suddenly had found themselves having gone twice as long without scoring another. Jacob deGrom's game-tying solo home run feels like it happened weeks ago.
Now, the Braves just need one more spirited frame from their bullpen in order to go home with a truly hard-earned road W.
