By Scott Rogust

With the game tied at 1-1, the Atlanta Braves finally broke through in Game 1 of the National League Division Series. In the bottom of the sixth inning, shortstop Dansby Swanson stepped up to the plate against St. Louis Cardinals reliever Giovanni Gallegos with the bases loaded, hitting a liner to third baseman Tommy Edman-- who couldn't hold onto the ball. The rebound was snatched by shortstop Paul DeJong, who twisted his body for the throw to second base. Second baseman Kolten Wong couldn't complete the catch, allowing Josh Donaldson and Nick Markakis to score to give Atlanta the 3-1 lead.
