VIDEO: Braves' Dansby Swanson Pulls off Ridiculous Bat Tricks During Pregame Warmups

Lost in the Atlanta Braves' mediocre start to the 2019 season has been the unexpected play of shortstop Dansby Swanson, who just recently had his career-best 11-game hitting streak ended. What's more impressive, however, is the former Vanderbilt star's extraordinary bat tricks prior to taking batting practice ahead of Thursday night's game against the Cardinals. You really have to see it to believe it.

Five juggles with the bat, onto his foot, off his chest and BOOM...he sends it miles high into the Atlanta sky.

How is that even possible? Truthfully, we don't think we could pull this off if you gave us 50 attempts. And for some reason, we strongly believe that Swanson could replicate the trick almost effortlessly and just as efficiently on his very next try.

On top of it all, the stout defender is enjoying the best offensive season of his young career. Though it's not a world-beater, Dansby's .255/.318/.463 slash line thus far is miles better than that of his last two big league seasons.

It turns out that the 25-year-old has tricks up his sleeve that don't include playing mind games with Clayton Kershaw. Who knew?
