VIDEO: Braves' Ron Washington Drilling the Ball in BP Should Give Hope to All Coaches

He retired from playing 30 years ago, and yet Ron Washington still has the goods at the plate. Check out the pop in Wash's bat that was on display on an otherwise calm evening in Philly.

The former Texas Rangers manager and current Atlanta Braves third base coach is 67 years old, so show some respect next time you're pitching to someone with an AARP membership, because they can still rake.

Washington won two American League Pennants as the manager in Texas, and "Moneyball" let us know he was able to turn a catcher into a first baseman. Coaches are capable of so much in this league.

In case you were wondering if this was the peak of Washington's time in the City of Brotherly Love, it certainly was not. The Bravos continued streaking by taking the series opener 7-2, and Wash stepped out for some fine cuisine.

That'll do the trick, alright.
