VIDEO: Braves Set Franchise Record With Back-to-Back Homers From Ozzie Albies and Freddie Freeman
By Michael Luciano

Two of the most home run dependent teams in all of baseball in the Atlanta Braves and Minnesota Twins have been squaring off lately, and this interleague series hasn't been short on the fireworks. In their afternoon matinee, Ozzie Albies got the Braves off to a quick 1-0 lead by slamming his 16th home run of the year, this one a massive bomb off the bat of Martin Perez.

The very next pitch for Perez was just as disastrous, as Freddie Freeman got a hold of it and parked it deep in the left-center field bullpen at Target Field. Freeman's 29th bomb of the year gave the Braves a 2-0 lead.

Not only that, but this set a franchise record for the Braves, who have now gone back-to-back in 12 contests this season!

When you throw a pitcher with a 4.58 ERA like Perez in against a lineup that hits left-handed pitching as well as Atlanta does, you end up with 450-foot moonshots and a new record.
