Cristian Pache, the No. 37 overall prospect in baseball, has had a stellar year down in Double-A in the Atlanta Braves' farm system. The 20-year-old has found his power stroke this year, and he definitely had it going on Monday night, as he slugged his 10th home run of the season, setting a new career high.
The leadoff home run marked the 19th of his young minor league career.
Pache came into the game slashing .297/.356/.510. He's pounded out 18 doubles and five triples in addition to his 10 round-trippers this year, and gives the Braves yet another exciting young name to keep an eye on.
