By Thomas Carannante

It appears as if top prospect Austin Riley has provided a much-needed spark for the Atlanta Braves offense. The Braves defeated the Cardinals in the series finale of their three-game set by a score of 10-2 and Freddie Freeman had the last word in this one.

After homering in his #MLB debut last night, the #Braves' No. 4 prospect smacked this ? off the bricks in right center for a double as he continues to destroy baseballs in the month of May.@Braves prospect stats: https://t.co/H9gDAiKVWv pic.twitter.com/KdMBXkAQxk
Riley missed his second career home run by a literal inch, but his early performance helped chase Card starter Adam Wainwright from the game.
Nick Markakis, Brian McCann, Ronald Acuña Jr. and Josh Donaldson all added RBIs to support Teheran's scoreless five-inning performance. The bullpen certainly felt comfortable with a big lead too.
The Braves are 23-21 and will welcome the Brewers to SunTrust Park on Friday.
