VIDEO: Brian McCann and Matt Joyce Hit Back-to-Back Home Runs as Braves Extend Lead on Nationals

The Braves brought their big boy bats to the ballpark on Saturday night against the Nationals with the hope of extending their NL East lead. After Ozzie Albies and Josh Donaldson bombs, the Braves showed a reliance on the longball. Brian McCann just added to that narrative.

McCann and Matt Joyce went back-to-back, both no-doubters, and the Braves saw their one-run lead multiply before their very eyes. McCann, the cagey veteran, has been a stable force all season for Atlanta. Meanwhile, the Nationals bullpen struggles continue.
