The Atlanta Braves were hoping for Spring Training to go without a hitch, but things haven't gone as planned with Freddie Freeman injured. Manager Brian Snitker confirmed Freeman has been bothered by elbow inflammation and insisted that he will be rested for a few more days.

Freeman had his best offensive season last year, hitting .295 while setting new career highs in home runs with 38 and RBI with 121. He made an All-Star team as the Braves took the NL East crown before crashing out of the playoffs at the hands of the St. Louis Cardinals.
Much is expected from Freeman and the Braves this season. Him missing any significant amount of time could throw the entire balance of this team totally out of sync.
“He’s gonna fit right in. We’re gonna be really, really good again.”

Having Ronald Acuña and Marcell Ozuna is obviously huge, but Freeman is what makes this team go. Braves fans better hope that his elbow problem is a minor Spring Training ailment and not something that will linger throughout the campaign.
