VIDEO: Browns Reportedly Hoping to See 'Engaged' Odell Beckham Jr. During the Offseason
By Jack Murphy

After a disappointing 2019 season, the Cleveland Browns have made some changes, including the firing of head coach Freddie Kitchens and replacing him with Kevin Stefanski. There have been rumors about a potential exit for Odell Beckham Jr., though according to Ian Rapoport, that's not quite yet the plan. Rapoport reports that the Browns are hoping to see an "engaged" OBJ this offseason, wanting to see the star wideout present at OTAs and setting an example for younger teammates.

Per Ian Rapoport, Stefanski met with Odell to discuss those expectations, as they are keen on Beckham sticking around and becoming more of a team player.
Beckham is entering his seventh season in the NFL, and it's not asking too much for him to take initiative and be a leader for younger guys on the roster.
Many are concerned if Odell is up for this, however, long-time friend Jarvis Landry definitely has confidence in the three-time pro bowler.

Hopefully the Browns' wishes are granted and Beckham shows the team just how committed he is. The talent is surely there to make a deep run in the playoffs, and hopefully with Stefanski now at the helm, he'll be able to get the most out of what was a disappointing team in 2019.
