VIDEO: Bruins' Tuukka Rask Makes Ridiculous Save to Prevent Blues From Extending Game 7 Lead
By Scott Rogust
The St. Louis Blues struck twice in the first period of Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Final. Even with supposed insurmountable pressure placed by the Boston Bruins, Blues goalie Jordan Binnington has stopped every shot headed his way. Even with the spotlight on the Blues' rookie, we can't leave out Bruins netminder Tuukka Rask. Halfway through the second period, St. Louis center Brayden Schenn's shot hit the crossbar and floated in the air and Rask used his presence of mind to knock away the puck (with some help from Zdeno Chara), only to make another save on a St. Louis slapshot.
Here's another unreal view:
The Blues could have a cushy three-goal lead, but Rask wasn't allowing that to happen in his house. We have one period remaining, and this save could be monumental in the Bruins' potential comeback.
