VIDEO: Bucs TE Cameron Brate Has Brutal Drop on 4th Down Attempt in Late Drive vs Texans
By Ian Anderson
Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Cameron Brate committed an agonizing drop in what might've been the most crucial moment of his career to date. With the Buccaneers trailing the Houston Texans by three points with only 3:38 left in the fourth quarter, everything was on the line -- including a chance to enter Week 17 with a winning record. Unfortunately, Brate's hands didn't do their job.
Brate dropped what would have been a first down and more on a crunch-time drive late in the fourth.
Bucs quarterback Jameis Winston has done a lot wrong today himself, but this was not one of those moments. The ball was perfectly placed, but it just bounced out of Brates' hands.
What a tough way to end the game for Tampa Bay.
