VIDEO: BYU Upsets USC and Kedon Slovis With Overtime Interception
By Jerry Trotta
Upset alert! The BYU Cougars just refused to go away Saturday against the No.24 USC Trojans and their valiant efforts have just paid off in a HUGE way. The game headed to overtime deadlocked at 27, and the Cougs took advantage of their opening possession by kicking a field goal, thereby putting all of the pressure on the Trojans, who needed to score at least three points to keep the game alive. Well, USC failed to come through on their ensuing possession, as a tipped pass landed in the grateful arms of a BYU defensive back.
It's no less than they deserved. What a performance by Kalani Sitake's men!
