VIDEO: Cameron Maybin Spotted Working Out and Doing Agility Drills at Yankee Stadium Tuesday

New York Yankees outfielder Cameron Maybin, who was diagnosed with a calf strain last month, was a key cog to this team before the unfortunate rounding of the bases, and provided them with outfield depth above and beyond what he was asked for. Luckily, he's been running and should begin a rehab assignment very soon, and on Tuesday he was spotted working out and doing some drill work at Yankee Stadium.
It's a good sign that Maybin is able to do these kinds of agility drills. If his calf was still barking, you wouldn't see him out there running around. It appears that he's ahead of schedule and should be back in pinstripes very soon.
Before going down, Maybin had played in 42 games (118 at-bats) with the Yankees and slashed .314/.391/.500 with 12 extra-base hits (five home runs) and 14 RBI.
It's hard to believe that Maybin will provide that kind of production when he returns, especially if he's used more as a player off the bench, but his skill set will only give this Yankee team more depth to an already-deep roster.
