VIDEO: Case Keenum Gets Destroyed on Embarrassing 4th Down Dive Attempt and Sadly Fumbles
By Karl Rasmussen
Case Keenum has not had things go his way Monday night against Chicago, and his troubles were perhaps best exemplified with one particularly embarrassing play in the fourth quarter. When facing a 4th-and-1 from the 15-yard line, Keenum decided to try to leap over the pile to get that one yard. While that would have worked from the goal line, Keenum was met by Chicago's defense and promptly fumbled the ball.
Okay, what on earth was Keenum thinking? Yes, getting the first down is the ultimate goal, but that reckless method only works at the one-yard line.
Rather than dive under the pile, Keenum met Danny Trevathan who smacked the ball out of his hands for the fifth Washington turnover of the night.
