VIDEO: Cavaliers Owner Dan Gilbert Doesn't Seem to Know Where His Home State of Michigan is
By Ryan Flores

Cleveland Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert seemingly had a moment during Tuesday's press conference to introduce new head coach John Beilein. He tried to say that Beilein was arriving from the state of Michigan, but wound up making a fool of himself as he tried to describe where Michigan is in relation to Ohio.

Oh, Mr. Gilbert. Maybe you should've just said that Beilein was from the University of Michigan instead of trying to describe whether the state itself is north or south of the one you're currently in. Actually, maybe he should've just introduced Beilein by name and left it at that. Yes, that probably would have been better. Gilbert made numerous other factual mistakes in the presser, including where Beilein coached before he was in Ann Arbor.
Oh, and fun fact: Gilbert himself is a Michigander.
In the first two minutes of Coach Beilien's press conference, Dan Gilbert thought Michigan was south of Ohio, forgot what colleges Beilein coached at, couldn't pronounce another, fumbled over his relatives names/location and said he needed his glasses.

Beilein has been coaching college basketball since 1978, and is just now taking the leap into the NBA after enjoying an incredibly successful 12-year run with the Wolverines. Now, he's off to face a new challenge: coaching the Cavs and dealing with Gilbert's apparent insanity. His time with the Cavs may not end well given that the team is a dumpster fire, but hey, someone's got to do it.
