VIDEO: CBS Commentator Kevin Harlan Ascends to GOAT Status by Calling 2 Games at the Same Time
By Sam Dunn

Being a play-by-play sports commentator for television and radio is a seriously tough job. You can never be at a loss for words. The proverbial cat cannot ever get your tongue. Your elocution must be perfect. Indeed, just staying on top of your appointed game is demanding enough, which is what makes what Kevin Harlan did Sunday afternoon on CBS all the more impressive. While calling Chiefs-Chargers in Kansas City, he decided to give the blow-by-blow of Patriots-Dolphins out of nowhere as Miami threatened to score, pull an upset, and turn the AFC playoffs upside down.

How this man didn't go cross-eyed or black out from the sheer confusion of it all is dazzling. We're talking about a total pro, a man who deserves more than simply an Emmy Award or a sack of unmarked bills.
But overall, we shouldn't be surprised. Remember Black Cat Night at the Meadowlands?
