VIDEO: Chargers Postgame Show Absurdly Airs 30 Seconds of Reporter Doing Absolutely Nothing
By Ryan Giglio
For many veteran NFL players, preseason represents nothing more than shaking off the cobwebs of the offseason in preparation for the regular season. Unfortunately, the same can be said for media members and broadcast teams.
During the postgame show after Thursday's preseason game between the Arizona Cardinals and Los Angeles Chargers, a technical error caused an entertaining error.
Sideline reporter Curt Sandoval did not hear the studio communicating with him, which caused for an incredibly awkward moment on live television. Sandoval just stood there, then mentioned the real grass inside University of Phoenix Stadium, home of the Cardinals.
The broadcast team must be happy that at least the technical error didn't cause an NSFW error like Sandoval cursing to be aired on live television.
This mess leads to an interesting question, though: What was worse on Thursday, the error on the broadcast or the Chargers committing four separate penalties on just one play during the game? At least this blooper won't have many real-life ramifications, other than giving us a good laugh.
