VIDEO: Chase Young Breaks Ohio State Single-Season Sack Record
By Sean Facey
Chase Young has officially etched his name into the history books for the Buckeyes! The Ohio State star defensive lineman brought down Penn State quarterback Sean Clifford on Saturday, giving him 14.5 sacks for the year, passing Vernon Gholston's record of 14 set back in 2007.
Should we have expected anything else from the potential top overall pick? For Young, this record has to feel even sweeter since this is his first game back from a two-game suspension. As fans out there know, the NCAA suspended him after it was revealed he accepted a loan from a family friend to help send his girlfriend to the Rose Bowl last year.
With all that behind him, Young is moving forward as the team's leader on defense and now has the single-seasons sacks record to add to his resume.
