VIDEO: Chiefs Draft Pick Mecole Hardman Buys House for His Mom After Signing Rookie Contract
By Brian Cass
Once the Kansas City Chiefs traded up in the NFL Draft to snag Georgia wideout Mecole Hardman, the young man's life was forever changed. Not only because he'll be able to live out his dream of playing in the NFL, but also because he'll be financially set for the foreseeable future. After signing his rookie deal, Hardman decided to give back to perhaps his biggest supporter, his mom.
Via Hardman's Twitter account, the young wideout shared a video of he and friends revealing a brand new house to his mother, paid for by Hardman himself. It's not out of the ordinary for young athletes to give back to their family once they make it big, but we still love seeing it every time.
We can't imagine how proud his mother is of him and how grateful she must be for her son's gift to her. But this is only the beginning for Hardman, as he seems primed to be a critical cog in the Chiefs' offense this season.
