VIDEO: Chris Davis Meets Young Red Sox Fan Who Wrote Him Heartfelt Letter During 0-for-56 Streak
By Sean Facey

Sometimes, things are bigger than baseball. Chris Davis notably struggled early in this season, setting an MLB record during an 0-for-56 drought at the plate, and it seemed as though nobody was on his side. But one young Red Sox fan, Henry Frasca, wrote him a letter of support the day he broke the drought, and with the Orioles visiting the Red Sox, Davis decided to meet him.
“Thank you for the best day of my life.”

Davis and Frasca spent some time together ahead of the the game, and Davis revealed to him that he's kept his letter with him everywhere he's gone during the season.
It's a heartwarming exchange between two unlikely friends, and it also serves as a touching reminder that at the end of the day, baseball is just a game.
Two great virtues: kindness and hand-written letters. May both endure forever. Outstanding work, Henry Frasca. Keep bringing your positivity to your school, community and the ballpark. @MLB https://t.co/pKPLd3j3YZ

It's meant for enjoyment. Even when players struggle like Davis did, it's important not to lose sight of the joy that this game encapsulates.
Baseball is entertainment first, and it's fans like Frasca who keep that kind of spirit.
