VIDEO: Cincinnati May Have Just Scored the Most Bizarre Touchdown of the College Football Season

What the Cincinnati-Marshall contest on Saturday didn't feature in terms of competitiveness sure made up for as it pertains to sheer peculiarity. The Bearcats, up 21-0, were knocking on the door in the closing minute of the first half when quarterback Desmond Ridder dropped back to pass on a third down. The sophomore gunslinger was LIT UP as soon as he released the pigskin and literally every player (except one) on the gridiron froze assuming the play was blown dead. Ridder's arm was, in fact, not going forward and tight end Josiah Deguara subsequently scooped up the fumble and waltzed into the end zone for six.

That's a fumble every which way you look at it, ladies and gents. Ridder's arm is still going backwards when he was hit, despite what his follow through might indicate in real time.

Kudos to Deguara for not falling asleep and sticking with the play. His persistence certainly paid off, but his score HAS to go down as college football's weirdest through five weeks of action.
