VIDEO: Cincinnati's Kyriq McDonald Collapses and is Carted Off Field vs Ohio State After Seizure
By Jerry Trotta

Prepare yourselves, folks, because what you're about to witness is as disturbing as it gets. Cincinnati safety Kyriq McDonald was lined up to defend the slot receiver against Ohio State on Saturday when he collapsed in the middle of the play due to an apparent seizure. You'll notice the Buckeyes receiver pause in palpable confusion as McDonald went into convulsions. WARNING: This video is not the easiest thing to watch.
Definitely looks like he had a seizure while lying up for the play ??? pic.twitter.com/iAYWR4DVPR

Ugh. You really can't help but cringe upon seeing that. The sincere hope in these moments is that the kid is okay.
McDonald, an Alabama transfer, was down on the field for several minutes while being attended to by the medical staff before being ultimately carted off the field. At that point, he was sitting up and talking to a Bearcats staffer.
UC safety Kyriq McDonald collapsed in the middle of a play without being touched and went into convulsions on field. Pray that he's OK, probably one of the more scary things I've seen covering football.

Yahoo Sports' Pat Forde provided some valuable context to the scary moment, adding that McDonald actually suffered a seizure while playing for the Crimson Tide in the College Football Playoff National Championship Game back in 2017.
Been noted by several folks that McDonald had a seizure during CFP championship game two seasons ago. He's an Alabama transfer.

McDonald headed to a local hospital as a precaution in order to undergo further tests, and was reported to be walking in the locker room, albeit with assistance.
This is the last thing you ever want to see on a football field. Keep your fingers crossed that the young DB makes a swift recovery.
