VIDEO: Clayton Kershaw Makes Remarkably Smooth Sliding Play on Infield Grass for Out at 1st Base
By Karl Rasmussen
Clayton Kerhsaw's postseason woes have continued on Friday night, as the Nats pounced on him early to the tune of three earned runs. Well, that wasn't going to stop the southpaw from giving 100% effort on every play, and that's just what he did, showing up on defense to help record an out. Kersh charged a bunt, slid to the dirt, and fired a perfect strike to first base for the out.
Victor Robles' bunt attempt was foiled by the surprisingly limber and smooth Kershaw who made the throw after the cleanest stand up I've ever seen. He literally popped back into the air!
What a play from Kershaw in order to get the out.
