VIDEO: Clippers Mascot Tricks Robin Lopez Into Declaring Brook as the Better Twin
By Scott Rogust
If sports have taught us anything over the years, it's that some athletes cannot stand mascots. Milwaukee Bucks center Robin Lopez can be classified into that group. Prior to the mega NBA matchup between the Bucks and the Los Angeles Clippers, Lopez met with Clippers mascot, Chuck. "The California Condor" approached Robin, asking him to sign a "friendship agreement." Lopez obliged by putting pen to poster board, but Chuck revealed that he had duped him. Robin actually signed a form declaring that his brother, Brook, is the better twin.
Robin was flabbergasted at what went down, as Brook gave Chuck a hug following the prank. The eldest Lopez twin responded by shoving Chuck to the court in a fit of rage.
We've seen similar stunts pulled in baseball. Atlanta Braves mascot Blooper tricked San Diego Padres third baseman Manny Machado and Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Bryce Harper into "signing away" their contracts to the mascot via a tearaway poster board.
Let the record show that Chuck is officially an enemy of Robin Lopez from here on out, though there's scarcely a mascot that isn't at this point.
