VIDEO: Cody Bellinger Guns Out Carlos Gomez at 3rd Base With Absolute Cannon From Right Field
By Karl Rasmussen
Cody Bellinger may just be the most impressive specimen in baseball. After ripping his 19th home run of the season, off Jacob deGrom no less, Bellinger got to work in the outfield. During the eighth inning against the Mets, Belli saved a run and got Carlos Gomez out at third base with an unreal throw from right field.
When Bellinger came up to throw, it looked like it was all for not, but the amount of power he got behind the ball was unreal and it somehow managed to beat Gomez to the bag, as Justin Turner provided a hasty tag.
Well, if you weren't convinced before, you should be now. Cody Bellinger can do it all on a baseball field, and everything he does is spectacular.
Bellinger's turned up his defense in a big way this year, and now leads the NL with 7 outfield assists, after having recorded just 3 total from the previous two seasons. He had 3 outfield assists IN THIS GAME against the Mets by the eighth inning.
Talk about turning the corner.
