VIDEO: Colin Cowherd Absurdly Claims He'd Take Ben Roethlisberger and Sam Darnold Over Dak Prescott
By Ryan Giglio
Colin Cowherd is known by some for saying some outlandish things in today's society of saying anything for attention. The latest example comes from his show on Tuesday where the famed hot take machine said he'd take Ben Roethlisberger and Sam Darnold over Dak Prescott. Check it out at the 5:50 mark of the video.
Prescott is one of the most scrutinized players in the league and does not get enough credit for what he's done in his three years in the NFL. He's led the Cowboys to the playoffs twice and threw for more than 3,600 yards both seasons (in addition to being a big threat with his legs).
There's a reason why a potential contract extension has been talked about for months and why Prescott wants to be paid on par with the best quarterbacks in the game.
As for Cowherd's choices, they're a little out there. Roethlisberger is 37 and has been showing signs of aging over the past couple of years. The two-time Super Bowl champion may be headed to Canton when all is said and done, but his decline is evident and is clearly in the final stages of his career. Why would you want that type of QB at this juncture?
As for Darnold, a lot of experts love him and have high expectations, but he has yet to prove anything after his first 14 games in the league. He showed signs of potential last year, but missed a couple of games and was among the leaders in interceptions thrown.
What did Dak do his rookie year? He went 13-3 with 3,667 passing yards, 23 touchdowns, 4 interceptions and 6 rushing touchdowns.
Mr. Cowherd, stay off, the WWWEEEEEEEDDDD!!!
