Plenty of people didn't take too kindly to Andrew Luck's retirement. He was booed as he took his final trot off the field in Indy, and there were numerous accusations that he was weak. Season ticket holders have even started asking for their money back. But, in a show of solidarity, Indianapolis Colts head coach Frank Reich backed both Luck and the team during Monday's press conference.

Reich was wholeheartedly supportive of Luck, saying that his choice to retire was "the courageous thing" to do and that neither him nor the players felt that the former first overall pick was letting the team down.
He also emphasized the bright future that the Colts still have, which seems to have been lost on virtually everyone.
Sure, it's devastating to lose a franchise quarterback at the age of 29 to retirement. However, the Colts have a reliable backup in Jacoby Brissett, a revamped offense in all facets and a head coach who clearly has the team's back.
If you're watching this press conference right now, you're seeing why Frank Reich is the right man for this job, and this moment.

Luck's retirement hurt, but he deserved Reich's support. Football, after all, is a team sport. The rest of the players are still there, and so is Reich to right the ship.
