VIDEO: Corey Seager Draws First Blood in Pittsburgh With 430-Foot Bomb
By Parker White
The Los Angeles Dodgers are the top team in the National League and arguably the most dangerous in baseball, but it hasn't been because shortstop Corey Seager has gotten off to a strong start. Instead, it's been a struggle for Seager out of the gate, but this swing might be the thing that gets him going. Take a look at this absolute bomb:
Seager's solo blast gave the Dodgers a quick 1-0 lead. Pirates starter Chris Archer tried to sneak a piece of cheese past him, but he didn't get that fastball in enough and Seager made him pay.
The Dodger shortstop didn't hit that one all the way into the Allegheny River like we've seen in recent days, but it was crushed an estimated 432 feet nevertheless. Nice work if you can get it.
Can you imagine what this Dodger offense will look like if Seager gets going and plays at the level we've previously grown accustomed to? The rest of the league would surely cower in fear.
