VIDEO: Cowboys Actually Announced Rally Cat With Starters Before Week 10 Showdown
By Scott Rogust
The Dallas Cowboys entered Week 10 with an admirable 5-3 record, thanks to their win this past Monday against the New York Giants. In the early goings of that game, the Cowboys were down 9-3 to the G-Men, though, and looking relatively meager. The tides turned once the now-famous rally cat emerged from the bleachers of MetLife Stadium, and the Cowboys went on to outscore the Giants 34-9 from there. Given the important role the black cat played in Dallas' win, it's only fitting that they "included" it in their starting lineup against the Minnesota Vikings. Giants fans, you might want to turn away.
While that was cool and all, the feline didn't actually take the field, despite the elusiveness it showed against stadium security less than a week ago.
The Dallas Cowboys will continue to use it as their mascot throughout the season...until it stops working, that is.
Prepare yourselves, New York Giants fans. You're going to see that damned cat a lot for the foreseeable future.
It might be time to, uh, stop watching football, although you can probably still watch Giants games. Those...those aren't football.
