VIDEO: Cris Carter Reveals Teams He Says Kawhi Leonard Will 'Consider' in Free Agency
By Jerry Trotta
We'd like to let Kawhi Leonard reap in the glory of being the catalyst who led the Toronto Raptors to their first NBA Championship in franchise history, but the Finals MVP's impending free agency decision will now consume all of the discussion until, well, he makes his decision. We all have our own opinions of where he might end up, but on FS1's First Things First on Monday morning, Cris Carter labeled the Clippers, Lakers, Raptors, Nets and Knicks as the teams Kawhi will consider signing with this summer. And Carter's current favorite to land The Klaw's services might surprise you.
Woah. The Raptors?
Almost no pundits have coined Toronto as a clear-cut landing spot, let alone deemed them a leading candidate.
Of course, Carter is more recognized for his football expertise, but the FS1 personality has claimed in the past that he has sources within Leonard's camp. So, maybe the Hall of Famer does have an inside track here.
Whatever the case, the Clippers, Lakers, Knicks, and Nets are all teams we know of that Leonard will reportedly hold a meeting with (or at least acknowledge) this summer. Good luck picking a favorite out of those four at this stage in the saga.
