By Scott Rogust

A scary situation took hold at Minute Maid Park. During Wednesday's game between the Houston Astros and Chicago Cubs, outfielder Albert Almora Jr. hit a foul ball into the stands that struck a young child. Immediately, Almora's reaction sadly captured the fear of the moment.
Here is Albert Almora’s reaction as his foul ball struck a very young fan. A really horrific moment. Kids fall in love with the game of baseball after going to the ballpark and experiencing a Major League Baseball game. This shouldn’t happen. PRAYERS. ?? pic.twitter.com/yOGfrqpmMF

Almora dropped down on one knee in tears and was consoled by teammate Jason Heyward. Minute Maid Park was silent as the small child was rushed up the stands instantly to receive treatment.

The Cubs outfielder later ran over to the section in between innings to ask about the wellbeing of the child. It was there that Almora broke down in the arms of a security guard and was guided back to the dugout by Heyward and Javier Baez.
