After a quick 1-0 start, Kyle Schwarber roped an RBI double into right field to make the game 2-0. Two more runs would score on a botched play by Noah Syngeraard and catcher Wilson Ramos before Ian Happ blasted a two-run homer to extend the lead to 6-0.

The Cubs sit three games up on the Mets and two games up on the Phillies for the second wild card spot. A series victory over New York could go a long way toward securing a playoff berth.
