VIDEO: Cubs' Ian Happ Clubs Grand Slam to Give Chicago Lead Over A's
By Sean Facey
Ian Happ seems like he's back to being the power-hitting rookie everyone made him out to be. After launching a home run in the Cubs' game against the Athletics, Chicago's utility man walloped an opposite-field grand slam to give his team a 5-1 lead.
His recent success has been a breath of fresh air for the Cubs. Happ struggled in Triple-A at the start of the year, but his resurgence both there and at the MLB gives them plenty of depth in both the outfield and infield as they prepare for the push to October.
If he can go back to playing at the level that earned him Rookie of the Year votes in 2017, the Cubs will be as right as rain.
