A pivotal series is taking place in Queens, as the New York Mets and Chicago Cubs fight to gain ground in the NL Wild Card race. After gaining the lead over the Mets with a two-run homer from Addison Russell in the fifth inning, Javy Baez hit one of his own off starting pitcher Marcus Stroman in the sixth to extend the North Siders' lead to 4-1.

To say this homer was close is an understatement, as the ball hit the top of the wall before going over.

Close but good enough for el Mago as his Cubbies look to humble the Mets in a battle for a postseason berth.
