VIDEO: Cubs' Kyle Schwarber Rips 3-Run Triple After Ball Ricochets off 1st Base
By Michael Luciano

Chicago Cubs outfielder Kyle Schwarber is by no means a speed demon. He only has nine stolen bases and six triples in his entire five-year career. Thanks to a handy assist from the first base bag, Schwarber added triple No. 7 against the Seattle Mariners.

While seeing the stocky Schwarber clomp around the bases heading for third was an entertaining sight for Cubs fans, they're probably more pleased with the fact that he ended up plating three runs and giving the Cubs a 4-1 lead in the seventh inning.
Schwarber tied his career-high with his 102nd hit on the season to go along with his newly-set personal benchmarks of 32 home runs 76 and RBI.
Noted bum Kyle Schwarber has 32 homers with a month left in the season and is roughly at the .500 slugging mark.

And for you RBI lovers out there he has 73 in 128 games.
If that base wasn't there, it's entirely possible that Mariners first baseman Austin Nola makes the play and ends the inning. There might be some divine intervention going down at Wrigley today, or just some sweet old BABIP luck.
