VIDEO: Cubs Twitter Trolls 'Boring' Cardinals as 3-Game Rivalry Series Gets Underway

The NL West rivalry between the Chicago Cubs and St. Louis Cardinals has been fun to watch all season. Cubs third baseman Kris Bryant has joked about St. Louis being a boring city throughout the year, which has caught on among supporters of the team, and now that the rivalry series has begun, Cubs twitter decided to deliver the first blow.

The Cubs tweet spells out BORING vertically and has a video of Bryant getting his first hit of the game. They're adding fuel to the fire of the rivalry, and the fans are loving it.
It's one thing for players to tweet at each other and talk some smack, but we love seeing the team's social media account chime in as well. Hopefully, the people in St. Louis' social media department have something clever up their sleeves if their team is able to get a win in this series.

The NL Central race is a toss up at this point, with the Cardinals only 4.5 games behind the Cubs. It should be a great rivalry to watch throughout the summer, and it should also be fun seeing the Twitter war between their social media departments.
