VIDEO: Daniel Hudson Loses His Mind After Striking Out Michael Brantley to Win World Series
By Sam Dunn

The Washington Nationals made all kinds of history with their 2019 World Series victory over the Houston Astros. Not only does it mark the first title in franchise history -- in their first-ever appearance in the Fall Classic, no less -- but they did it by winning all four games away from home, a feat nobody could ever have conceived. And the gravity of the accomplishment was not lost on Daniel Hudson, whose strikeout of Michael Brantley clinched the whole thing.
That's catharsis, folks.
Hudson throwing his glove and jumping up and down like a grade school kid whose Babe Ruth League team won the city championship with a ragtag bunch of ne'er-do-wells really captures it all. He took some totally unnecessary flak a few weeks back for taking some very brief time off following the birth of his daughter, and his vindication was utterly complete when he propelled the capital city boys over the finish line.
Love that it's Daniel Hudson — who took so much unnecessary grief for taking paternity leave for the birth of his daughter earlier this month — who closes out the World Series.

Congrats, Nats. Congrats Nats fans. Congrats Daniel Hudson.
Hudson had better remember this one forever. Because he ain't topping it.
