VIDEO: Daniel Jones Was Totally Unstoppable in Dominant 1st Half Against Bengals
By Jerry Trotta
If you are just hopping aboard the Daniel Jones hype train, then you haven't been paying attention this preseason. The former Duke gunslinger continued delivering all of the goods for the Giants in the first half against the Bengals on Thursday night. Folks, when we say that DJ was picking apart the Cincinnati defense, we mean it. Check out the rookie QB toss an absolute DIME of a 30-yard pass to Brittan Golden early in the second quarter.
Even the most biased of Jones scolders can admit that the 22-year-old looks to have complete command of New York's offense.
No, at this point we aren't the least bit surprised.
How about one more highlight to really lay it on his large population of haters?
At halftime, the former Blue Devil is 9-for-11 for 141 yards, improving his compiled preseason stats to a mind-boggling 25-for-30 (83.3 completion percentage) for 371 and two touchdowns.
We'll hazard a guess and say that the Baker Mayfield drama is an afterthought of Jones at the moment. The rook is simply humming out there.
