VIDEO: Dansby Swanson Slugs Go-Ahead 3-Run Home Run to Put Braves Up Late Against Nationals

Dansby Swanson is looking to play himself into the starting job at shortstop for the NL in the All-Star Game. The Atlanta Braves shortstop slugged a mammoth three-run shot against the Washington Nationals to give his team a late 12-9 lead in the eighth inning on the road.

The home run was his 14th blast of the year and his second extra-base hit of the night. It brought his season RBI total up to 47.
He's one of seven Braves who are finalists to play in the All-Star Game in 2019, and this go-ahead blast to extend his power surge is his way of proving that he's earned that spot.
