VIDEO: Davante Adams Describing Turf Toe Injury Should Concern Packers Fans
By Scott Rogust

The Green Bay Packers have been without star wide receiver Davante Adams since their Week 4 matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles due to a turf toe injury. Even in his absence, the Packers defeated the Dallas Cowboys this past Sunday. So, with the Packers playing the Detroit Lions on "Monday Night Football," Adams will certainly heal up in time, right? Following practice on Thursday, Adams spoke with the media, and didn't sound entirely confident in his ability to return for Monday.
Davante Adams on his turf toe: “It means that you strained or tore something. So there's ligament damage, and we just gotta let that heal up. I've made a lot of strides and I'm definitely able to move around a lot better than what I was, but we still got some healing to go.” pic.twitter.com/ahYJwPm8Re

Adams stresses that having turf toe means there is ligament damage. Given the importance of route-running and the risk of re-injury, Adams wants to make sure he's 100 percent ready before returning to the field.
As for a timetable for a return, there's no set date as of yet. More details will likely come in the next few practices.

If you have Adams in your fantasy football lineup this week, we'd suggest putting him on your bench.
