VIDEO: Dez Bryant Shares Footage From Latest Workout Amid NFL Comeback Attempt
By Jerry Trotta
Dez Bryant hasn't played in the NFL since 2017, and a ruptured Achilles suffered shortly after signing with the New Orleans Saints in 2018 appeared to indicate that his career was over. Well, the word "quit" clearly isn't a term associated with Bryant's vocabulary. The former three-time Pro Bowler has rehabbed his tail off with the hope that a team will take a chance on him. Bryant continued that campaign in the form of posing another workout video on social media this weekend.
Dez has published countless clips similar to this one, and we're not entirely sure what further evidence teams need to comprehend that he's healthy. That doesn't appear to be the variable delaying proceedings.
The fact of matter is that the former first-round pick is now 31 years old, and in his last season with the Cowboys, he struggled immensely at establishing separation from opposing cornerbacks.
Bryant's last standout campaign came back in 2014, where he registered 88 receptions for 1,320 yards and a league-leading 16 touchdowns. In the three seasons after that, he compiled 150 receptions for 2,035 yards and 17 scores.
The Oklahoma State product's appetite is inspiring, but his chances at an NFL return appear slim, at best. Let's see if anyone takes a shot on him.
