VIDEO: Didi Gregorius and Gio Urshela Extend Yankees Lead Over Mets With Solo Homers in 6th Inning

The New York Yankees held a narrow 2-1 lead over the New York Mets in the sixth inning of Wednesday's Subway Series finale. That all changed once Didi Gregorius stepped to the plate, as he hit a solo home run off Mets starting pitcher Jason Vargas to give the Yankees a 3-1 lead.

After Mets manager Mickey Callaway pulled Vargas from the game in favor of reliever Wilmer Font, Gio Urshela followed suit by hitting a one-run shot of his own to pad the lead.

Despite a brief injury scare, Urshela returned after the commercial break to man third base, and allow the Yankee faithful to breath a sigh of relief.
