VIDEO: Didi Gregorius and Gleyber Torres Go Deep to Give Yankees 1st Inning Lead Over Orioles
By Parker White
Another day, another game where the New York Yankees are destroying the Baltimore Orioles and using the long ball to do it. After getting down 1-0 in the top of the first, shortstop Didi Gregorius got this offense on track with a three-run bomb to take the lead.
This is the big leagues, dude. You can't throw a 95 mph fastball down the middle to this lineup and expect it to stay in the yard.
Well, O's starter Gabriel Ynoa did the exact same thing when Gleyber Torres came to the plate and experienced a similar result.
Torres has 24 home runs on the season, 11 of which came against the Orioles. Talk about owning a team.
What's sad for Baltimore is this is just the first of two games on the day. If you live in New York and want a souvenir, head on over to Yankee Stadium. There's a good chance you'll come away with a free ball.
