VIDEO: Didi Gregorius Drills 2-Run Single to Extend Yankees' Lead
By Scott Rogust

Remember when the Tampa Bay Rays had a 1-0 lead over the New York Yankees on Thursday night? That all changed once first baseman Luke Voit hit a solo bomb to center field to tie things up. In the bottom of the sixth inning, the Yankees broke the tie after catcher Austin Romine scored on a balk, making it 2-1. Shortstop Didi Gregorius added some more cushion to the lead with a two-run single, which scored Edwin Encarnacion and Aaron Judge, making it 4-1 Yankees.

The Yankees are showing just how deadly their lineup can become late in games, much to the chagrin of the Rays.
