VIDEO: Didi Gregorius Just Homered for First Time Since Tommy John Surgery in Rehab Start in Tampa

If there were any concerns about Didi Gregorius' power after having Tommy John surgery, he's calmed those fears. In the first at-bat of his second rehab game for Class-A Tampa, Gregorius belted a 1-1 pitch over the right field fence, giving him his first homer since TJ surgery. Take a look:

That swing will definitely play at Yankee Stadium.
It was shocking to hear that Gregorius is only a couple weeks away from returning to the big leagues, but after what he did today, I'd say they know better, right?

Gregorius just began his rehab assignment this weekend, and if he's being fast-tracked to the Bronx, I'd imagine this is one of the few at-bats he'll have in Tampa. Expect Didi to be moved up to a higher level in the coming days.
